Manfrotto 496RC2 Ball Head with Quick Release Replaces Manfrotto 486RC2

I paired this tripod ball head with the anfrotto 190XPROB 3 Section Aluminum Pro Tripod and I couldn't be happier. The new friction control is excellent and it holds my nikon d5100 still as a rock from any angle. If your looking to move up from the cheaper flimsy tripods and tripod heads this is a good choice! The controls are easy to use and understand (never even looked at that manual for it. I did have to look at the tripod manual but it was a quick read and easy to get up to speed using both of these products! For a new person to photography this tripod head and tripod are an excellent step up!

Item was received well pacakaged. Works perfectly and meets the high quality expected of the Manfrotto brand. Using this with a Nikon D90 and 50-200mm lens and it holds it all very secure. Only suggestion is if using a Manfrotto tripod with this, tighten the 3 small screws under the mount plate to hold the ball head tight. Otherwise it slips a bit when moving the camera from side to side.

Professional Mini Ball Head Camera Mount

I use this ball head on top of an inexpensive monopod. I use the monopod in areas where tripods are impractical - hiking, busy sidewalks, etc. The ball head gives me the same flexibility as a tripod in that I'm able to angle the camera as I see fit. Without it I can't really angle up or down without placing the entire stick at same angle (risking the monopod foot slipping out from under). This resolves that problem and keeps everything stable. This is a decent tool for the price.

I got this professional ball head camera mount to go on the monopod I bought. I have a small camcorder and sometimes it is not convenient to use a big tripod. I can put this camera mount on the monopod and record anywhere. I have even used this at church to record a sermon and never had to leave my pew, and without disturbing other people. This mount really adds to the monopod as it attaches very easily and allows me more freedom of movement than the monopod would have alone. I absolutely love it and don't have a single complaint to make.
